30 Day Knitting Challenge Day 6: What is your favorite piece that you’ve knit?
This is such a hard question to answer – I can’t pick just one.
I really enjoyed knitting my second Pasithea baby blanket, and I’m not saying that in an effort to market the pattern (I designed it). I really enjoyed everything about making it for my niece: I like the color and texture of the yarns I chose, it was entertaining to see how the variegated yarn looked with the different stitch patterns, and I knew she would appreciate the final piece; she (and my sister) are knit-worthy.

Out of all the sweaters I’ve knit, I’d say my Whisper Cardi got the most wear. I made it using Plymouth Earth Ecco Cashmere; my husband got me two skeins (and a bunch of other things) for my birthday & Mother’s Day 2010, I splurged on the other third skeins so I could finish the sweater. I made a few modifications to the pattern – short rows on the fronts to even them out with the back, pouffy full-length bell sleeves, full-length body, and added a shawl collar. Unfortunately, this cardigan became the second victim of my husband’s good intentions when he ran it through the washer and dryer one night when I was sick and had managed to yarf all over it. There was no saving it to be worn again, so I sacrificed the remains to the cat gods; it’s currently in a corner making a cat nap place more snuggly for Jeff and Eevee.
