30 Day Knitting Challenge Day 25: Do you have a knitting book or a place where you keep patterns, ideas, size measurements? Post a picture of it!
Like a lot of knitters, I use Ravelry to keep track of patterns using the pattern library, ideas using favorites, and measurements in pattern notes. I don’t keep a physical book/journal specifically for knitting, but when I started using a Bullet Journal in February I added a few spreads to keep track of ideas for The Yarn Office and patterns.

I also have two mostly dedicated shelves for my knitting books, most of which are in my Ravelry library as well.

Love your bookshelf! 🙂

I love that you have enough craft books to need a bookshelf. I mainly use digital patterns but I keep magazines and so on in the pouffe that came with our sofa.

I like books and tangible papers; I print all of my digital patterns instead of using my phone or Kindle. I need to touch the paper, lol. 🙂

I agree with you – I need printed, tangible patterns too. Of course I produce my patterns digitally, but I haven’t enjoyed trying to work off a computer or Ipad while actually making something. Especially color charts, although I’m told there are some apps you can download that will work as virtual highlighters so you can digitally keep track of rows.

I have friends who’ve gone all digital and I’ve seen them using apps for charts, but I still like having that paper & using my chart keeper. I should really try one of those apps just to see how it compares. Maybe sometime when I’m feeling adventurous.

I try to buy digital patterns whenever it is possible. I love books of all kind so I am very likely to run into a storage problem. I usually print only the essential parts of the patterns (charts etc.) as I often knit in trains or public places. I’m really happy with this solution. Nonetheless, I have a knitting and sewing bookshelf, of course.
