Last week’s goals with progress indicated:
- Make recommended changes to the pattern for the Gir hat & scarf, including (reluctantly) instructions for using DPNs.
- Organize test knits for both, including figuring out what expectations to set.
Make it through the election & the results. It wasn’t pleasant, but I’m still here, breathing & heart pumping – the sun keeps rising & setting, my family is ok so far, and I’m taking action; complacent no more.Continue knitting the fronts on The Green Wood Cardi.I started the side decreases! Hurray!Knit a hat for Henry using leftover mitt yarn & leftover scales.Started but not finished; I’m using Purl Soho’s Garter Ear Flap Hat pattern making an adult size small because my kids all have big heads.

I also:
- Created a listing in The Yarn Office for the Scale Mail Mitts.
- Created a new listing in The Yarn Office for a custom knit Double Rainbow Scarf. People can request one from the pattern page or from the 2 finished scarf pages, but this has instructions for requesting a custom order so it (hopefully) will make it easier for a potential customer to do. Also, the more listings in the shop, the better.
This week:
- Make recommended changes to the pattern for the Gir hat & scarf, including (reluctantly) instructions for using DPNs.
- Figure out how to organize test knits for both, including what expectations to set.
- Finish Henry’s hat & attach scales after the fact, if at all; it’ll be easier to scatter them on the finished hat than to scatter as I knit.
- Keep working on the fronts for the Green Wood Cardi.
- Add another custom knit listing to The Yarn Office.
- Start getting the house ready for the onslaught of people coming for Thanksgiving, which means cleaning. Ugh.

Love your green wool cardi and the start of your hat — what a stunning color!

Thanks! It was really fun to do, but I did it too fast; I wish I’d slowed down & savored it a bit more. This just means I need to get another Bohus kit, right?

Beautiful cardigan. Great to see that some buttons have gone on! Also very excited to see the ear-flap hat. I just love Purl Soho – wish I had 100 pairs of hands to knit it all!

One of these days I’ll make it back to NYC & visit the store! I wish I had 100 full wallets to go with me. 😂
