First of all, I want to apologize for falling behind in reading everyone’s blog; I feel like we have an unspoken agreement by following each other and I’m not holding up my end. I hope to get back in the swing of things next year.
Next year!?!?
Yes. I’ve mentioned before that we’re going to New Zealand over the holidays and, well, the time has (almost) come. We fly out of Dulles tomorrow afternoon and end up in Aukland on the 22nd. (Crossing the International Date Line is going to be very confusing for me; I have enough problems with the calendar as it is). We’ll be home Jan 5, I think. I’m not sure how much time or connectivity I’m going to have to post and whether or not I’m going to want to do that from my phone. I’m hoping to at least post some pictures.
Until then, picture me making packing lists, checking them twice, and trying to remember all of the things I should do before we go (call my mother is at the top of the list – must remember to do that today).
Oh! I did finally decide on two projects to take along with me; an Aranami Shawl made with sock yarn I have on hand and crocheted snowflakes (just in case TSA/some other form of The Man takes my needles).
Just in case I don’t post … I’ll say it now: I hope you all have a fantastic holiday season and a very happy new year!
Safe travels and can’t wait to hear about your trip when you’re able to share! Happy holidays!
