The Week April 17-23, 2017

Last week’s goals with progress indicated:

  • Continue the fronts for Aspen.
Done. No, really: the fronts are done. I finished them last night and haven’t even taken a picture. (Sorry.)
  • Weave in some of the ends on Aranami & knit at least 1 new wedge.
Nope. I didn’t pick up this shawl up at all.
  • Go to TKD belt ceremony on Saturday.
Done. I’m rocking an orange belt now.
  • Replace the etsy shop link in @madgeface twitter account with link to this.
    Done.
  • Write or work on a poem a day, continuing with separate posts. Thanks to everyone who’s read a poem or two!
Done, even for Easter. It’s going much better than it did in 2014.

I also started spinning a batt that I got last spring in a swap. I’m sort of spinning from the fold instead of my usual, or spinning side to side rather than top to bottom, if that makes sense. I should do some reading so I can use the proper terms again for what I’m doing but it’s been so long a little Alden Amos will be helpful.

Next week:

  • Start Aspen‘s back.
  • Weave in some of the ends on Aranami & knit at least 1 new wedge OR spin more.
  • Go to TKD twice.
  • Go to Science March in DC on Saturday. I have my official tshirt, I just need to seek out details, like the start & end points. Need to decide on a sign or no sign.
  • Carry on with the poetry every day. Thanks to everyone who’s read and liked the posts – poetry isn’t for everyone, and then some people (me!) are very picky about what they like, so I really appreciate the reading/likes.
Spinning progress. This part of the batt more closely matches my leader yarn (bottom part of the bobbin in the picture), so it’s more of a burgundy and brown than a gray black, but I’m having a moment adjusting the colors, so here it is.
