Thanks for this, Mandy! I love to see how colors and fibers spin up from braid to bobbin to final skein. I am always to tempted by my singles–I love the way they look–and plying can sometimes be a disappointment. Working on that! I like the way your colors preserve so much about the original braid!
I’m really just starting to explore this part of spinning with hand dyed roving. I really didn’t like how the uncarded singles looked, but paired with the 1 ply that I did card it worked out really well. Also, these really aren’t my colors but having spun them now I like them slightly more.
