Spotify just sent out 2019 playlists – all the songs you listened to most in 2019 in one place. I realized while listening to it and my regular playlists that I overplayed some and am currently really gravitating toward others that I recently added, so I made a new shorter playlist cleverly name December 2019 with those songs. There is nary a holiday song on it – I’m not feeling very festive this year.
I know more than a few of my friends don’t support Spotify because they don’t treat artists well or pay them fairly for their work. I resisted a paid account for a long time because of that and continued buying and listening to all my music on iTunes and, for the extra special ones, CDs. (I should have a record collection but don’t.) So here is my latest playlist especially for those of you still taking a stand for fair compensation for artists; I caved last January when I started commuting again.
Songs are listed with the song title linked to a video for the song and the artist name linked to their website. Note: I haven’t watched all the videos. Also note that these are in no particular order – I’ve been listening to the playlist on shuffle.
