About

DurasMe

I’ve been crafting my entire life – my Mom, a seamstress, did all sorts of projects with me when I was growing up and I haven’t stopped seeking out neat, fun things to create. I began knitting again in 2000 and have some original designs. I also crochet, spin yarn, weave, needle felt, dye, and do like the occasional non-fiber art craft projects, like upcycling Altoid tins.

My inspiration for The Little Golden Notebook is Doris Lessing’s The Golden Notebook, the story of a writer, the four notebooks in which she records her life, and her attempt to tie them together in a fifth, gold-coloured, notebook. My golden notebook ties a few notebooks together: one concerned with crafty wooly yarn things and my etsy shop, The Yarn Office, a notebook for inspirational things, and a place for my writing, including a deeply personal memoir notebook – start at the beginning with that one. I hope you find The Little Golden Notebook interesting!
